A simple guide to create your first video on TikTok

TikTok has become one of the most popular social media platforms, thanks to the wealth of trends, filters, songs, and short funny videos that live on the app. It’s a great place for brands to plant and popularize their own content formats to see if they light a spark within the community. The following guide is intended to help anyone interested in making videos reflect on themselves and explore for creating the first video on TikTok.

As mentioned earlier, before starting with TikTok, it’s a good idea to pick a niche. Popular niches on TikTok  are beauty, comedy, and fashion. Once you have an idea of what you want your channel to be about, it’s time to make your first video. When creating your video content to post on TikTok, you should be as authentic as possible. Reveal your brand’s true personality so users watching can feel connected and relate to you, building trust and hopefully revenue. You can even use the power of humor, children, or extremely cute pets to gain a few extra views.

Create a TikTok account

Go to the App Store or Google Play and download the TikTok app. Once you have opened it, you can easily log in with your existing Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account or create a new username and password if you don’t want to link your other accounts to TikTok.

Edit your profile and settings

Your settings can do much more than just show you your TikTok code. Here you can set your privacy, turn your push notifications on and off, and much more. Take a look at your settings and find out how you can enjoy TikTok even more. For example, we recommend using the dark mode on TikTok to protect your eyes.

Create your video

TikTok lets you record 15- or 60-second videos and you make your choice at the bottom of the recording screen within the app. On the recording screen, you’ll see features that let you record and edit within the TikTok app. When you finish shooting the video, you can choose the background music from the sounds library. In the end, don’t forget to add text and stickers. you may also need to find some material, try GGTik to download TikTok video without watermark.

Write caption and hashtags

There’s a 150-character limit for your TikTok caption, which includes any hashtags you add. The goal is to keep your caption tight. Next, add hashtags that are mostly niched down to improve discoverability. TikTok auto-populates a bunch of hashtag suggestions, which makes it easier to find niche hashtags.

Press the tick and you’ve made your very first TikTok video! That wasn’t so hard, was it?
