Product information. Gravograph is a programmable laser engraver, cutter, duplicator and tester. Its main features are the automatic scanning and cutting of paper, plastic, canvas and cardboard as well as the digital engraving of sheet steel, wood and granite. It is easy to use, flexible, fast and accurate. The Gravograph can also be used as a stand-alone tester for sheet metal. Large parts weighing up to 65 kilograms can be produced. The software and hardware of the Gravograph are completely integrated. This makes it possible to print and engrave in one application. The Gravograph, like other laser machines, is connected to a computer via universal serial bus (USB). In the programs a high-performance USB interface module for the low-cost Creative Sentai Series USB dongle is available.

Using an external USB scanner, parts can be automatically scanned and cut. The scanned parts can be printed using the built-in printer, engraved using the laser and placed in the loading machine. For the Gravograph, two different universal sized work areas can be set. The first is the test area, which contains a self-healing surface in the course of cutting. If the laser head does not exactly fit in, this area is used to correct the position of the machine. The second is the cutting area, the cut-off surface for the production of the actually shaped parts. The Gravograph further features a high-performance external 5-axis scanner.
